I am a UK Registered Dietitian with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and I am a member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA).
I aim to use my scientific knowledge, clinical skills and expertise as a Dietitian in an accurate, professional and responsible manner.
Transparency is important in social media as are ethics in any writing or reporting. I have signed up to RDs4Disclosure and have pledged to blog with integrity. This means I am bound by an ethical code of conduct and will not provide false and misleading information.
I never make or support unjustifiable statements relating to particular products (as per HCPC & BDA guidelines) or promote a single product over another (as per food industry regulations).
The advice given on this website is aimed at the adult general population and should not be used as an alternative to bespoke tailored advice given by your own Dietitian, doctor, nurse or other health professional.
All of the opinions on this website are my own, honest and based on my clinical and personal experience. If required you have the right to know if I have accepted money or ‘freebies’ (samples) in the process of constructing my views (as per the Internet Advertising Bureau: IAB guidelines and Advertising Standards Authority ASA).
It is my policy to only accept compensation from companies I believe in and would already buy from myself or recommend to others.
A specific product mention or feature does not imply endorsement or recommendations to you from bump2baby nutrition LTD.
Any sponsorship or other form of compensation is clearly marked and will never influence the content, topic or posts on this site.
As a Registered Dietitian I will only review or feature products that I would buy and that I believe would enhance the health, wellbeing and nutrition of my followers/readers, website viewers or their children (based on paediatric products).
On occasion I will be sent samples of products to try and if required will blog or post about these products. Please be confident that these products are ones that I personally and professionally like and that I would buy. If I do receive a sample this will be referenced at the end of the blog/post.
Any reviews that I include in my blog/post are based on my personal preference, professional opinion, training, nutritional knowledge and expertise.
Any rewards provided to me do not play a part in the product and services featured/used or statements written on this blog or post shared as per HCPC & BDA guidelines.
If I don’t like a product that has been sent to me, rather than write a negative review I will not feature this product/service in my blog/on website or post about this. I cannot and will not be swayed by incentives of any form to endorse a product that I do not like.
If a product does not fit with my philosophy, has claims based on pseudoscience (in my opinion) or will not enhance the wellbeing of my readers (for example supplements, junk food, superfoods, diet pills etc.) I won’t feature this. I will again, not be swayed by incentives of any kind.
If a blog or post is marked as ‘sponsored/inspired by…’, ‘in collaboration with’ or ‘featured’, a company has compensated me either via money, a gift, or something else of value for the time taken to write it. Regardless, all comments are my own and are honest and not at any point influenced by the incentive.
Any rewards received do not play a part in the products and services featured/used or statements written on my blog/post (as per HCPC & BDA guidelines)
I decline sponsored blog/posts from companies that I do not believe will enhance the health & wellbeing of my audience, for example the blog/post has claims based on pseudoscience. Again I cannot and will not be swayed by incentives of any kind.
On social media, I will use #Ad to give reference to a sponsored blog/post if the company is mentioned in the status.
If I receive enquiries as to where a product can be purchased, if I am able to I will provide the link to where I would purchase this myself, and therefore where you will be able to purchase this from at a reasonable price.
My blog/posts (advice and recipes) remain free to all and may have affiliated links/discount codes. Each blog/post takes a considerable amount of time to research and write and recipes can also take a considerable amount of time and money to develop. If you click a hyperlink and purchase items or use the discount code provided I may receive a small commission. Affiliated links do not affect the price you pay.
All blog/posts containing affiliated links/discount codes are clearly labelled at the beginning.
I may occasionally post carefully selected discount codes which reduce the price of certain products that I link to. I do not do this to benefit myself but to benefit my followers/readers and I too may also use these codes.
Any rewards I receive do not play a part in the products or services that are featured in my blog/posts or used in statements written on this site/blog/or in my posts (as per the HCPC & BDA guidelines)
Any adverts/links displayed on my blog/website do not imply a recommendation; however they are selected in line with bump2baby nutrition LTD philosophy of nourishing your child and yourself for optimum health and wellbeing.
Adverts may be present with the purpose of generating revenue in order to sustain the day to day running of this blog/posts/site. Such costs include hosting the site, cost of ingredients for recipe development, equipment, travel and photography. All products are purchased to enhance your experience as a consumer.
I may on occasion hold competitions or giveaways as a way of interacting with my followers and provide them with the opportunity to try new products.
I do not promote the products that I give away more than others.
Most of the giveaway prizes that are featured are provided to me free of charge, however I may on occasion use my own money to purchase products (prizes free of charge will be highlighted)
I am very selective about the products that I give away and will take into account my personal and professional opinion as a Registered Dietitian based on the nutritional benefit, benefit to wellbeing and the type of product I am using.
I utilise Rafflecopter where winners are picked at random, using the widget itself. Winners are announced on social media page @bump2baby_nutrition and may be mentioned in the monthly bump2baby nutrition LTD newsletter.
Unless stated otherwise, giveaways are open to UK residents only due to postage.
